P!nk + Brandi Carlile: Nothing Compares 2 U (Sinéad O’Connor Tribute)
From beloved Irish recording artist Sinéad O’Connor’s double platinum second studio album, I Do Not Want What I Haven’t Got, “Nothing Compares 2 U” (written by Prince) became one of the biggest hits of the early ’90s. After decades of critical acclaim, commercial success and international attention over the course of ten studio albums, O’Connor died this week at age 56. To honor the influential, uncompromising and resilient singer, American pop star Pink invited singer-songwriter Brandi Carlile on stage in Cincinnati for an emotional rendition of the acclaimed track. The moving live tribute is but one of many from fellow musicians mourning the extraordinary talent.
