Every year, the Michelin Guide announces its updated list of the best restaurants in the UK and Ireland – awarding one, two and three stars to restaurants across the country, as well as tipping its hat to excellent value places to eat with its Bib Gourmands and the chefs working towards becoming more eco-friendly restaurants with its Green Stars. The Michelin Guide has its own share of issues – the guide has been slammed previously for favouring certain cuisines and displaying a lack of diversity across the chefs and teams awarded. Nevertheless, it remains one of the biggest British food moments of the year, with each annual list eagerly anticipated by chefs and foodies. Now, the 2024 list has been announced in a Manchester ceremony that saw 33 stars given out across 25 restaurants.
